We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Transport Assistant Manager to support and oversee international air and ocean freight operations. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, purchasers, and freight forwarders while ensuring smooth transportation processes and on-time delivery performance.
This position is ideal for a strong team player with a “can-do” attitude, capable of managing daily operational tasks while supporting a small team. Leadership experience is not mandatory, but the willingness to guide and support colleagues is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Coordination- Handle end-to-end international air and ocean shipments according to SEH instructions.
- Maintain continuous communication between purchasers and freight forwarders.
- Track daily shipment movements and check previous-day arrivals.
- Monitor and update new shipments; follow up on ETA and ensure timely delivery information.
- Organize cargo and manage shipment documentation.
- Upload and manage shipments in Cello / FIS and other internal systems.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders remain informed throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Team & Process Support- Support direct employees by defining KPIs and performance goals.
- Assist the billing team with necessary shipment-related information.
- Collaborate closely with the procurement team and other departments.
- Oversee operational tasks related to a team of four (attendance, annual leave coordination, workload management).
Reporting & Administration- Prepare statistical, operational, and ad-hoc reports as required by the supervisor.
- Maintain organized email communication and timely response handling.
- Execute additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
