Investment Accounting Analyst

• Our international financial institution Partner is expanding its investment management capabilities in Budapest and is looking for new colleagues to join as Investment Accounting Analysts.

  This is a newly forming local team, and we are seeking its first members who will play an active role in building the function while closely collaborating with the international central unit on core responsibilities.

  The company works with a broad range of financial instruments, and this role focuses on ensuring their proper accounting treatment in line with both international and local standards. The team also provides solutions for the accounting treatment of complex transactions and supports the development of best‑practice processes.

  Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities and prepare analyses and reports in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Analyse and report the accounting results of investment assets to the relevant business units.
  • Review accounting processes related to investment transactions.
  • Develop tailored accounting treatments for special or complex transactions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the internal control framework and support internal and external audits.
  • Support the accounting aspects of onboarding new instruments or business units.

  Requirements

  • Relevant academic background in finance or accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of investment instruments
  • IFRS experience; IFRS 17 knowledge is an advantage
  • Fluent English
  • Open‑minded, proactive personality
