Procurement Manager

We are looking for an experienced, English speaking leader in Procurement Manager position for our Partner working in the building industry.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the procurement team's performance, supports and motivates the colleagues
  • Set targets and priorities for the procurement organization aligned with regional and local objectives
  • Leads transformational activities to improve procurement organizational efficiency
  • Manages purchase of diverse equipment and materials for construction projects
  • Reviews and manages the supplier base, represents the company in negotiations
  • Optimization of existing procurement procedures, the introduction of new methods
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities
  • Defines local sourcing and functional procedures in line with the regional strategies

Required competencies

  • College/University degree in Economics or Logistics
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the field of procurement, preferably in the construction industry
  • Min.5 years leadership experience
  • Fluent English skills in writing and speaking
  • Technical understanding of relevant construction works
  • Familiar with Procure to pay process
  • Proficient use of MS Office applications

Desirable competencies

  • Familiarity with SAP
