About the role:

Corvinus University of Budapest has over a 100-year-old history and is one of the leading universities in Hungary in Business and Management, Economics, and Social Sciences.

We have around 11,500 students, of which, approximately 2,000 are international.

We are seeking a dynamic, mature and experienced professional to join our HR team in a combined role as an HR Business Partner and Recruiter. In this role, you will be the strategic liaison between HR and your respective business function and as a recruiter, you will help us find the right people for the right roles by attracting talent to our organization.

   

 

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Business Partner, you will:
• Partner with managers to support and drive HR processes in your assigned business area, supporting, coaching and mentoring your leaders
• Foster the culture of servant leadership and act as a role model
• Support and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals
• Develop people strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement
• Drive the delivery of talent processes to have the right person in the right role and support the managers on talent pipeline development
• Identify training and development needs for your respective business units and partner in execution
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to your manager (including coaching, career development, disciplinary actions)
• Collaborate with legal teams on case management and oversee the full employee lifecycle, including contract establishments, amendments and terminations
• Coordinate organizational and personnel changes, proposing tailored HR solutions when required
• Support your business on compensation practices and provide guidance in complex matters

As a Recruiter, you will:
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for both academic and service units
• Identify and attract top talent, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience

Additional Responsibilities:
• Actively participate in HR projects, driving innovation and process improvements
• Play a key role in the development and optimization of HR systems and practices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and ensure alignment with organizational objectives

 

About you:

What You'll Need to Succeed

 

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or in a related field.
• 5–10 years of professional HR experience, ideally including 3–5 years in an HR Partner or Recruitment Specialist role.
• Versatile HR experience in various HR functions, proven track record of resolving complex HR matters
• Multicultural mindset and experience in working with different cultures
• Passionate about education
• Proficiency in HR systems, such as SAP HR or other integrated platforms
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong can-do attitude
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
• The ability to think strategically and creatively, with a focus on delivering results
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
