We are looking for a Senior Manager for our multinational partner to manage and inspire an AP team of 50–60 experts.

 

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience managing a team of 30 or more within the Shared Service Center sector and is fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately 50–60 AP professionals, ensuring strong leadership and team engagement.
  • Drive the transition of finance processes from various European entities to the Hungarian hub.
  • Oversee system integration, ensuring the finance process model is successfully implemented in SAP ECC, migrating from existing country-specific ERP systems.
  • Manage core finance operations within the Shared Center of Excellence: apply best practices, promote process harmonization and standardization, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including technology-driven solutions in collaboration with solution architects.
  • Shape the vision for future finance strategies and effectively communicate these to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering growth and motivation.
  • Lead by example as a role model for the site, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Build strong partnerships with business units and stakeholders to maintain professional and productive relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people management and at least 5 years in an SSC environment.
  • Proven experience managing AP/ AR/GL teams of up to 30 FTEs.
  • Transition experience is a strong advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • Fluent English is required; conversational proficiency in Italian, Spanish, French, or German is a plus.
  • Excellent team-building and motivational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel when required.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to engage, negotiate, and influence key stakeholders and suppliers.
