Accounting Manager - Budapest, 23. district

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for multiple Hungarian entities
  • Ensure compliance with Hungarian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain communication with Hungarian authorities (NAV, local tax offices, banks)
  • Prepare and oversee VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory filings
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and ensure data integrity
  • Prepare monthly management reports (cash flow, budget, project performance, etc.)
  • Collaborate with external auditors and advisors when needed
  • Support management with financial insights, analysis, and documentation
  • Contribute to process improvements and support ad hoc finance projects

• Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in full-cycle accounting in Hungarian Accounting Standards
  • Strong understanding of local accounting standards, financial regulations, and taxation
  • Excellent written and spoken English for communication with international management
  • Advanced Excel skills (reporting, reconciliations, data analysis)
  • Experience with SAP Business One or other ERP/accounting systems is an advantage
