Senior Finance Analyst - Polish Speaking

As a Record to Report Accountant and Analyst you will make an impact by being responsible for the accounting / finance activities of the entities belonging to Cognizant’s interest in Eastern Europe. You will be a valued member of the Finance team and work collaboratively with local teams and internal / external stakeholders.

• Support the local Finance Managers as per below
• Be responsible for activities related to monthly, quarterly closing and management reporting: prepare journals and BS reconciliations, review accrual calculations, analyze the bookings, provide comments for P&L and BS variance analysis
• Support local compliance: prepare and submit local statistical reports (to government, National Bank), support the preparation of the financial statement and CIT return, support the audits
• Have operational duties: investigate booking mismatches, initiate manual payments, working with different internal and external teams, service providers, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or CPA qualification
• At least 2 years work experience in accounting / financial environment (bookkeeping)
• Fluent in English, professional working in Polish (written and verbal)
• Experienced excel user (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc)
• Good team player but able to work independently
• Open to learn new things, can-do attitude
• Committed to provide quality work and keep deadlines
• Control mindset, attention to details

These will help you stand out

• Knowledge of IFRS / US-GAAP accounting practices and principles
• Experience working in a multinational / SSC environment
• VAT, CIT, WHT (withholding tax) expertise
• Experience with Oracle (People Soft) / Hyperion
