Robotics Engineer

On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

Responsibilities:

• Perform robotic spot welding, arc welding, spraying, gluing, and design integrated systems for robotic welding.
• Write control programs for robots, establish signal interactions with PLCs, and design emergency stop interlocking systems.
• Design communication protocols between robots and PLCs, selecting appropriate robot hardware systems for optimal load capacity and reachability.
• Conduct on-site maintenance and troubleshooting of robot faults.
• Manage signal interactions between robots and welding equipment, including welding machines.

• Proficiency in English as a working language.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in robot application programming and debugging for KUKA, FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, and other robotic systems.
• Strong proficiency in computer applications, with a foundational understanding of equipment automation control and mechanics.
