Product Pricing Specialist - DLM

Your role in a nutshell:

A fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving the growth of our Device lifecycle Management Product, which delivers a managed service & device HW revenue streams to support customer need.

Reporting into the Pricing CoE - a central Hub providing Pricing Services, Digital Quoting Tools and Data Insights and product economics improvements – with a dotted line into the Vodafone Business Mobility Product Team, this role will own the end to end in life pricing process, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, whilst driving transformation in the way we simplify the operations.

 

The Product Pricing Specialist, DLM, is a newly created role, to bring operational leadership and expertise to an exciting, fast-moving sector that plays an important role in Vodafone Business growth. Specifically:

  • Ownership of DLM Pricing Operations. Device pricing fluctuates - through price drops, FX impacts, and Manufacturer commercial incentives – and we need to ensure these competitive prices are reflected in our product offer on a timely basis, in order win business. (Currently on a quarterly cadence with exceptions, but can be shaped)
  • Working as the key contact across the Devices Teams, our partners (Macquarie Bank, CEVA logistics) and various other internal teams, you will need to ensure accurate / competitive prices are secured on a timely basis, translated into lease rates, and populated in a published device catalogue, to support downstream VOIS customer facing teams.
  • Ensure lease rates stay compliant within supplier pricing agreements.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on the competitive environment to challenge teams/partners as required and defend positioning based on data insights. Initial focus on device pricing to evolve into the Managed service we provide in parallel.
  • Work with upstream Commercial Strategy team who set the DLM pricing tool parameters, acting as a link between sales/customer/partner feedback to check the principles stay up to date and competitive.
  • Engage with the Product Development teams to drive improvements to the tools and process as required to achieve simplicity improvements and to improve CX.
  • Core interface into Sales to field questions on current pricing, developing trust in the accuracy of our pricing and drivers of that. Bring expertise to support customer engagements.
  • Drive the Vodafone Business agenda with the Devices/terminals team and with core Device OEMs (Apple, Samsung etc.).
  • Gather and analyze commercial insight in order to recommend price points.
  • Monitor pricing and profitability of DLM.
  • Organize periodic reviews of performance and recommendations for improvement.
  • Part of the extended Product virtual team

What you’ll do:

  • Ownership of DLM Pricing Operations.
  • Commercial subject matter expert to define business requirements for process improvements and partner performance and support sales, customer queries.
  • Stakeholder Management across internal and external parties to deliver a professional, timely, competitive pricing operation.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of the price tables, and associated business logic driving outputs.
  • Work in conjunction with Product and Commercial teams to drive growth and partner performance
