We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join full-time the HR team at the University. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing learning programmes tailored to University needs.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

• Strategizing, creating, and executing customized learning programs to meet the specific requirements of the University.
• Collaborating with vendors of learning and development programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Evaluating and communicating the outcomes of learning and development initiatives.
• Proactively assessing the efficacy of each training session and implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Compiling reports on employee engagement in internal learning initiatives.
• Assessing the effectiveness of internal learning programs.
• Developing a comprehensive leadership development plan.
• Planning and overseeing the execution of leadership development initiatives.
• Identifying and implementing IT tools to facilitate the management of staff learning activities.
• Working closely with the employment law department to draft study contracts and oversee learning activities governed by such contracts.
• Supervising the University's learning and development policy and updating it as needed.
• Collaborating with department heads to assess training needs, pinpoint skill deficiencies, and prioritize learning objectives.
• Managing learning and development budgets to ensure cost-efficient training solutions.
• Acts as an OD expert and advisor, supporting organisational wide projects such as culture and values
• Providing guidance to department heads on organizational development requirements and aiding in the execution of organizational development initiatives.
• Coordinating team-building workshops and unit development activities in partnership with department heads.
• Developing educational materials for employees to support the rollout of new HR processes and platforms.

 

About you:

What you'll need to succeed:

 

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or related field.
• Fluency in English both verbally and in writing.
• Has a proven experience in a Learning and Development role for at least 6-8 years, ideally within a large organisation or in L&D/OD consultancy
• Possesses project management skills with a track record of successful L&D project delivery.
• Acts as a highly self-motivated and proactive individual, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for driving projects to completion.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in learning methodologies, instructional design, and digital learning tools.
• Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Capability to evaluate training requirements and create tailored learning solutions.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving competencies.
