Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing human resources strategy.
  • Collaborate with university leaders to make and implement strategic decisions regarding university’s talent management, organizational development and change initiatives. 
  • Lead HR and organizational transformation initiatives to align HR practices with evolving university objectives.
  • Identify emerging trends in higher education and translate them into strategic HR initiatives.
  • Monitor the impact of HR strategies and policies on organizational performance and adjust approaches as needed.
  • Developing and operating a performance improvement and incentive system.
  • Managing the Employment Requirements System and keeping other internal regulatory documents used to implement it up to date.
  • Responsible for developing and operating the university's job description, classification and remuneration system.
  • Developing the university's selection and application process and the support system for selection procedures.
  • Developing workforce planning and workforce management processes, coordinating annual workforce planning.
  • Coordinating salary planning and developing guidelines and processes related to salary management.
  • Developing and managing the employment framework for international employees.
  • Developing and operating a staff training and development framework.
  • Developing HR partnering services, particularly in the areas of workforce security, resource management, development, commitment and retention.
  • Preparing and managing surveys on organisational culture and employee commitment; developing and implementing HR action plans and programmes to improve organisational culture and increase commitment.
  • Establishing and operating the HR controlling system.
  • Management of interest groups (works council, trade union).

Requirements

  • Higher education degree, professional qualification
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in an HR management position in an organisation of at least medium size (employing 100-500 people)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing human resources strategies that drive organizational transformation and support long-term institutional goals.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to influence and shape the university’s strategic direction through effective HR initiatives.
  • Fluent business English.
  • Certificate of good conduct and declaration of assets

Nice-to-have

  • Relevant experience gained at a large international company
  • Academic experience as member of faculty, lecturer
