Head of Group Accounting

As a key leader within the Business Services function, you won’t just manage numbers—you’ll manage the integrity of the global growth of our client. You will lead the Group Accounting Services team, ensuring their consolidation, technical reporting, and financial control environment is robust, efficient, and ready for scale.

• Manage a high-performing team while providing training and mentorship to direct reports to support their career development.

• Lead Group Reporting & Audit, overseeing the preparation of group statutory accounts under IFRS and coordinating the annual group audit.

• Own the consolidation process, running the monthly global, multi-currency consolidation using Sage Intacct.

• Act as the Technical Expert, ensuring IFRS compliance across the group, specifically for acquisitions, leases, revenue, and share-based payments.

• Manage Statutory Filings for UK subsidiaries and provide oversight for non-UK entities, working closely with third-party providers.

• Provide critical reporting, including monthly packs with commentary for lenders and supporting ad-hoc projects like financial modelling and M&A.

• Drive operational efficiency by acting as the Sage Intacct administrator and continuously improving the control environment.

Who You Are

We are looking for a qualified leader who balances technical precision with people-first management.

• You are a professionally qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge.

• You have a proven track record in complex, multi-currency consolidations and the ability to lead and develop individuals.

• You communicate in English fluently.

• You have extensive knowledge of IFRS and feel at home navigating technical accounting requirements and disclosures.

• You possess exceptional interpersonal skills and can build trust with stakeholders at all levels.

• You are proactive in identifying discrepancies and investigating the "why" behind the numbers in a fast-paced environment.
