Strategic Consulting Leadership

  • Multi-Practice Oversight: Provide executive governance across four distinct business units, ensuring project health, technical integrity, and client satisfaction.

  • Operational Excellence: Define and optimize delivery methodologies, project governance standards, and QA frameworks to ensure consistent "Gold Standard" delivery.

  • P&L & Utilization: Monitor and report on practice-level KPIs, including billable utilization, project margins, and realization rates.

  • Escalation Management: Serve as the final point of resolution for complex delivery challenges, maintaining strong executive-level relationships with key clients.

Pre-Sales & Business Growth

  • Sales Partnership: Act as the primary delivery partner for the sales team to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities.

  • Solution Architecture: Oversee the creation of high-impact proposals, technical estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs) that are both competitive and deliverable.

  • Revenue Expansion: Identify "land and expand" opportunities within existing accounts by positioning the full breadth of the company’s multi-unit capabilities.

People Leadership & Org Development

  • Manager of Managers: Lead, mentor, and coach 4 Unit Managers, empowering them to drive excellence within their specific technical domains.

  • Talent Strategy: Oversee workforce planning for a team of 40+, including recruitment, skill-gap analysis, and the implementation of training programs for emerging technologies (especially Generative AI).

  • Culture: Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture that encourages cross-unit collaboration and continuous technical innovation.


Technical Domain Oversight

While this is a leadership role, the Director must maintain strategic fluency across:

  • Cloud Engineering: Multi-cloud landing zones (Azure/AWS/GCP), DevOps, migrations, and Infrastructure-as-Code. (must have criteria)

  • Modern Workplace & Security: Zero Trust, Data Governance, Identity Management, and Secure Productivity.

  • Business Applications: Enterprise CRM, low-code automation, and business process optimization.

  • Data & AI: Data platforms, modern analytics, and AI implementation (including LLMs and productivity assistants).

Required Experience & Skills

Leadership & Operations

  • Proven Leadership: 10+ years in Professional Services or Consulting, with at least 3 years in a "Manager of Managers" capacity.

  • Scale: Demonstrated experience managing a delivery organization of 20+ billable resources.

  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of fixed-fee vs. T&M models, margin calculation, and the mechanics of a profitable services business.

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Pre-Sales Mastery: Extensive experience supporting sales cycles, from initial discovery to final contract negotiation.

  • Executive Presence: Ability to engage with C-Suite stakeholders (CIO, CISO, CTO) to align technical roadmaps with business strategy.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cloud Solutions Architect, Security Operations) or Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.

The Director of Professional Services is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic oversight, operational excellence, and financial performance of the Professional Services organization, reporting directly to the General Manager.

You will lead four specialized delivery units— Security, Business Applications, Cloud Solutions, and Data & AI—ensuring the seamless execution of complex digital transformation projects.

Managing a high-performing organization of 40+ technical professionals through 4 Unit Managers, you will be responsible for balancing resource utilization with high-quality client outcomes. As a key partner to the sales team, you will drive pre-sales engagement with Account Executives, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and robust Statements of Work (SOWs).
